We recently held our SJA/CHS 30 year high school reunion at The Trademark on July 14. My boyfriend, Andre Broussard/CHS Alumnus, and I originally met with Rebecca Jacobs, Director of Catering and Events, last year to discuss planning our event. She gave us a tour of the venue and discussed cost, etc. She was our contact throughout the planning process and was both professional and helpful regarding our requests/needs. This was also the case on the night of the event! Upon our arrival to the venue, the bartenders at the cash bar were also professional and friendly. The DJ that she recommended was fun and energetic.
I did not eat much that night, but I received positive feedback from classmates on the quality of the food. What I did eat, which included the spinach artichoke dip and mini meat pies, was very good! The cash bar included domestic beer, imported beer, and a local beer selection. The wine was average but did include four options (two white and two red). There were several liquor options for cocktails as well.
The venue itself is beautiful with hardwood floors and a neutral decor. The glass windows of the old building on Third Street in downtown Baton Rouge add to the beauty. It is simply elegant!
I would definitely recommend The Trademark as a classy venue for private events! Thank you to Rebecca Jacobs and the staff at The Trademark for assisting in making our reunion a success!
